Today, Jaipur experienced strong jolts of an earthquake at 4:09 AM, leaving people rushing out of their homes. The intensity of the tremors measured 4.7 on the Richter scale, and it was felt thrice in quick succession. The National Centre for Seismology (NCS) reported this event.
The epicenter of the earthquake was approximately 5 kilometers away from Jaipur, and some nearby areas also felt its impact. Besides Jaipur, Bharatpur, Shriganganagar, and a few other regions experienced the tremors. According to the National Center for Seismology, the initial shock occurred at 4:09 AM, prompting many residents to evacuate their homes. As per the locals, three consecutive jolts were felt. Currently, scientific research is underway to gather more information about the earthquake.
