The 2023 edition of the Asia Cup has started with Pakistan taking on Nepal on Wednesday at the Multan Cricket Stadium. Before the game, an opening ceremony took place where Pakistani singer Aima Baig and Nepal’s Trishala Gurung graced the stage with their performances at the Multan Cricket Stadium. Aima has over 6 million followers on Instagram and is a renowned singer in Pakistan. Trishala on the other hand has given some hits in Nepal and has a huge fan following of over 239,000 on Instagram. The opening ceremony finished in nearly 15 minutes and fans were disappointed with how both stars performed.

Talking about the game, Pakistan won the toss and decided to bat first on the season opener of the Asia Cup against Nepal at the Multan Cricket Ground. The six-nation tournament is jointly hosted by Pakistan and Sri Lanka, after India declined to come to Pakistan, citing political reasons.

This is the very first time that Nepal is taking part in the Asia Cup after winning the Asian Premier Cup in April. Pakistan, India, and Nepal have been stationed in Group A while defending champions Sri Lanka, Bangladesh, and Afghanistan are in Group B.
