Freebie Force Update

by Daniel Baker

It amazes me how Freebie Force continues to uncover great free offers.  Every few days there are more things added to the site.  Recent additions include free ice cream, free coffee, free plants, free webcam, free firewall software, and a free PC game just to name a few.  I spent under 30 minutes on the site yesterday and received over $30 in free stuff!

INFOMERCIAL

Freebie Force is creating an infomercial that will start airing in June.  Viewers will be seeing the great benefit of joining Freebie Force and they will be given a website address for enrolling.

AND as a member you have the opportunity of sharing in these customers!  If you participate in the infomercial leads program you will receivce a share of the members that sign up.  This is going to give this business opportunity tremendous upside!

Not only am I participating in the infomercial, but I know that our upline is also.  If you're not currently a member there couldn't be a better time to join!

Self Motivation

by Daniel Baker

There are very few successful online marketers who aren’t self motivated.  The nature of the business almost dictates that you need to be self motivated to succeed in this business.  Online marketers spend a lot of time sitting in front of their computers.  Distractions abound everywhere between emails, IMs, and easy access to time wasting activities like games and social sites.  It’s easy to see how many would be marketers find little success.  They simply aren’t doing what needs to be done to be successful.

Let me give you a few tips on self motivation to help you become more efficient and ultimately more successful.

Set Goals

You need well defined goals to be successful in any adventure.  It’s easy to waste hours of your time doing nothing when you don’t know where you are headed. These goals will serve to motivate you in times of difficulty.  Knowing where you want to be financially and what you will gain by achieving your goals is a great motivator.

Set Deadlines

One great way of motivating yourself is to set goals with deadlines.  Have them written down and place them right in front of you.  This is a great motivator, especially in times of difficulty.  Deadlines can give you the extra energy and determination to get through tasks that stretch your abilities.  When people begin to struggle its easy to get distracted and avoid the problem.  Having a deadline staring you in the face can often give you extra energy to go forward with difficult projects.

Share Your Goals

Let people who care about you know what you are doing. This could be your spouse, a close family member or a good friend.  Let them know what you plan on creating and what your deadline is for completion.  This is a great motivating tool.  You will feel like you are letting your friends and family down by not doing what you said you were going to do.  And you may be pleasantly surprised how supportive your friends and family can be.

Give Yourself A Reward

Give yourself a reward when you finish a difficult task.  This can be as simple as eating out at your favorite restaurant, watching a movie, or going for a walk.  Knowing that when you finish a difficult task you will do something you really enjoy doing is an energy booster.  And it really helps when you face your next difficult problem because you remember how it felt when you accomplished the last one.

Implementing these suggestions will increase your self motivation and help propel your success with your online business.

Making Money Online Series
Part 4

by Daniel Baker.

Traffic to your site is critical and so are the choices you make for getting this traffic.  In this weeks installment I am going to cover another avenue of receiving traffic to your website.

Last time I discussed automated hits which I highly recommend you avoid.  Now let’s talk about paid visitors to your website.  Yes, you can pay people to view your site.  Generally you may spend a penny or so per view and that viewer may be on your site for up to 30 seconds.  This is a quick way to guarantee your site will get live visitors.

While paying people to view your site may have its benefits, I would discourage using this technique.  Let me explain what generally is happening with these types of visitors.  These are people trying to make a dollar or two dollar.  They are viewing many different sites on many different topics.  They could care less what was on the screen; they just wait long enough to make their money and move on to the next site.  Some of them are viewing multiple sites at the same time to try and increase their income.

Many of these paid surfers are located in foreign countries and may not even understand English.  You can see that these kinds of visitors aren’t quality visitors and I would be surprised if any of them would ever consider your offer.

Many years ago I tried this type of traffic with bad and almost devastating results.  My first experience was when I paid for tens of thousands of visitors to a site that gave away a free ebook.  I was paid fifty cents for each person who downloaded this book.  I was sure that I would make hundreds or thousands of dollars from this traffic. To my surprise only 2 people from this traffic downloaded the ebook.

My other experience with paid to view advertising happened when I first signed up with Google Adsense.  Being naïve and not really reading Google’s small print, I thought I would try this paid traffic thing again.  Well, not only did I not get anyone to click on an ad, but Google sent me a warning email saying that if this paid traffic didn’t stop immediately my account would be closed.

In the next issue we will start looking at more productive traffic generating avenues.
