This is no “GET RICH QUICK” scheme but an opportunity to get in on the ground floor level of a very good home based business. Our company sells gourmet foods (Steak, fish, chicken, lobster, crab cakes, etc.) All but one of our beef products are hand cut USDA choice to USDA upper choice and we are well below market price for dry ice shipped gourmet foods. All products are covered by a 100% money back guarantee. We are the first home based dry ice gourmet food business that ships directly to the customers door.

How old is the company?
The new national marketing end of the business began in late 2006, however, the food processing end of the business has been around for over 25 years. Both the marketing and food distributing sections of the business are debt free.

How does this company differ from others?
Well…first…we offer a product that everyone uses and wants. Do you know anyone that doesn't eat either steak, fish, or chicken? Probably not so that gives us a product that is at least as in demand as any other and a product that probably offers more longevity than any other. You may not use light bulbs, vitamins, etc. each month but you will eat food and you obviously buy and eat it consistently.

What is the compensation plan?
There are actually three ways you can make money as a distributor. First….you can just sell the food if you like. Secondly…you can introduce other people to the distributing business themselves (This offers the most up front and immediate pay). Third…if you do sign on other distributors, you will make a percentage of any food they buy or sell. You will also make money from any people that will become distributors under them. There is no limit to how many people can be under you from either direct or indirect association. One big point to mention is that there is no breakage. In other words….say you got three distributors under yourself and that’s all you ever got. One or more of those distributors got 10 or 20 or 30 distributors under them…..all of those people will always be under you.

So I have to sell food to people?
No…you, of course, can if you wish but that is not required to make money. Some people just choose to get other distributors and that will bring you money both in the short and long term.

What does it cost to get into the business?
If you just want to sell the food it costs $49. If you want to be a distributor that is allowed to get other distributors for yourself then the cost is $600.

OK….if you had to say…what do you think is the best part of the business?
Well….obviously….all of it is good. The product…the compensation…the longevity potential… everything. However, the one thing that is great right now that wont stay that way is that there are approximately only 3400 distributors in the company right now. Most all being located in only three states. Those on the ground floor are going to have the best potential and opportunity because all other people to come will be directly or indirectly below them to no limit. Most of the best distributor companies have close to or over 1 million distributors so you do the math.

How to Recruit
Network Marketers Series?

In this series I am discussing several of the most popular techniques for recruiting network marketers. I will look at the pros and cons of each technique. And more importantly I will give you some guidance as to which techniques may have better potential for you.

Today I am going to look at local advertising. This can be done in many ways including; running ads in newspapers and shoppers, placing an ad on area employment websites, handing out flyers, putting signs up around your area, and renting booths at malls and events. I realize that some of these techniques are quite different from each other, but from the view point of this article they have many of the same qualities.

Local advertising needs to be analyzed from two different aspects. Are you using this technique to get customers or to get distributors?

Using this technique for recruiting distributors can be a very long and frustrating experience. Occasionally you will find the diamond in the rough, but those are few and far between. Most people who respond to this tactic are either looking for a job or are looking for a get rich quick opportunity.

I remember one newspaper ad I ran shortly after joining my third MLM Company. I had over 40 people actually show up for an opportunity meeting. Can you imagine the excitement I felt with this kind of response? I was sure I was going to finally start making some real money. I had to quickly enlist the help of my upline and downline to give as much individual attention as possible to these prospects.

Well, after several weeks of chasing, phone calling, etc. I got a total of 1 new distributor. And I never saw this gentleman again after he joined.

Now this is not to say that local advertising for distributors doesn’t ever work. It largely depends on the company you are promoting. This technique works better when you are recruiting for well known companies like Tupperware, Avon, and Shaklee where prospects already have an idea of what is expected of them.

In contrast, local advertising seems to have a better success rate when prospecting for customers. However, the technique has to fit your product line and company. For instance, a new Avon representative can simply let her neighbors know she is available and get a decent response.

For lesser known companies, offering free samples, free trials, etc. can be an effective way to get customers. Many years ago I ran an ad directed at men offering a treatment for preventing hair loss in a local shopper. From that ad I got 4 customers, 2 of which stayed customers for over 1 year. And one of the customers asked me if he could become a distributor.

In my opinion, local advertising can be effective if used correctly for your company and product. However, for this to be successful you must present yourself professionally and be willing to do sales work. And you must keep your expectations realistic.

Being Effective With
Your Home Based Business

One of the main reasons people want to work out of their home is to be able to work when they want. I have to admit that I really enjoy the freedom to work the hours I choose. This affords me the flexibility to do other activities that are important to me.

However, one of the main reasons people fail when trying to work at home is the lack of self discipline. I have found that I need to set a work schedule with very specific daily and weekly goals. The times I have ignored this process are the times I have been least productive.

The temptation to goof off is high, especially when I don’t have a specific goal in mind. I have found myself wasting valuable time simply because I wasn’t sure what to do next. And if a friend would call up at that moment it is easy to run off and enjoy some time with them.

The technique that I have found most effective for myself is twofold.

First, I need to have at least one project that I am excited about. Something that will get the creative energies going on those days I find it hard to get started. Having something you enjoy doing makes your work time so much more productive.

Second, I take time every Sunday night or Monday morning to lay out my schedule for the upcoming week. Not only do I identify my specific work hours for the week, but I also identify my goals for the week. These include what long term projects I am going to work on, what I am going to do to make money each day, and what personal tasks I need to accomplish.

By setting up and sticking to a set schedule you will be much more productive in your home based business.
